- 4 tins Rice for Swallow (Tuwo)
- 250 ml water to soak the rice
- Chopped Onions
- 1/3 cup Nono/Yoghurt (fermented milk)
- Oil
- Masa pan (Tandar waina)
- 1/2 tin cooked rice
Instructions to make to make Masa / Waina
- Soak the rice for 12-24hours
- Wash the rice properly after 12-24hours and put it into a bowl
- Add the cooked rice
- Add the ⅓cup of nono/yoghurt
- Add the chopped onions
- Mix all together in a bowl and add it to a blender. Blend till smooth
- Allow to rise for 1hour 30mins
- Grease your Masa pan (tandar waina) with oil and add the Masa batter
- Cook the first side till golden brown & then turn to the other side and cook till golden brown too.
