  20. 1 tsp Garam masala powder
  21. 1 tsp Green cardamom powder
  22. 1/2 tsp Nutmeg powder
  23. 1/2 tsp Mace powder
  24. 1/8 tsp Yellow colour
  25. 3-4 tbsp Lemon juice
  26. 3-4 tbsp Milk
  27. 1 kg Rice

Steps to make to make Memoni Biryani

  1. Soak rice for few hours.
  2. Heat oil in a pan.
  3. Add in onion and fry till light golden.
  4. Take out half of the onion.
  5. Add ginger garlic, coriander powder, turmeric, salt and chilli powder.
  6. Stir them well.
  7. Add in meat and fry well.
  8. Add in water and cook covered till meat is tender and water evaporates.
  9. Cut potatoes into 2 pieces and boil with colour.
  10. Add potatoes, fried onion, tomatoes, coriander, mint, colour, kewra, milk, yoghurt,plums, green chillies, cardamom powder, nutmeg and mace.
  11. Cook covered for 7 minutes more.
  12. Boil rice with whole garam masala.
  13. Spread half of the rice in a pan.
  14. Add in meat masala.
  15. Cover with remaining rice.
  16. Cook covered on dum for 15 minutes.
  17. Serve hot.
