Biryani is one of my favorite dish. Here I'm preparing a delicious paneer biryani. whenever you make biryani try to use basmati rice only.
Ingredients and spices that need to be Prepare to make Paneer biryani:
- For rice
- 1.5 cup basmati rice
- 4 cup water
- as per taste Salt
- as required Ghee
- 2 bay leaves
- 2-3 cloves
- 2 small cinnamon sticks
- 1 star anise
- 2 small cardamom
- 1 big cardamom
- For gravy
- 2 tsp ghee
- 1 tsp oil
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 finely chopped onion
- 3-4 Garlic cloves
- 2 green chillies
- 3 finely chopped tomatoes
- 8-10 cashew nuts
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp biryani masala
- as per taste Salt
- For Birista
- 1 big sliced onion
- 1 tsp Oil for frying
- Other ingredients
- 2 tbsp curd
- 1/2 cup mix colorful bell peppers
- 250 gms paneer
- 1 tsp kasuri methi
- As needed- Mint
- as needed Some finely chopped coriander leaves
Instructions to make to make Paneer biryani
- For birista heat one pan add oil and fry sliced onions till it turns crispy brown.



- To cook basmati rice heat up the pan pour some water and add basmati rice and salt and little ghee. Cover it and Cook it. Do not overcook the rice. Further take rice in a food strainer to remove water from it.



- To make gravy heat up ghee and oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, finely chopped onion garlic cloves, green chillies.



- Now add tomatoes and stir it for 1 minute. Then add coriander leaves, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, biryani masala, kasuri methi and cashew nuts. Mix it well and turn off the gas.



- Rest the mixture for few minutes. Bring it to room temperature, then grind it in mixture and make a thick paste.


- Again heat the same pan add ghee in it. Now add paste and little water along with it. Add bell peppers. Mix well



- Now add little kasuri methi and curd, mix well. Add paneer in it.



- Mix well and turn off the gas.

- Take a serving plate or baking plate add cooked rice and a layer of paneer gravy on it. Add some biristo and finely chopped coriander and mint leaves on it.



- Add another layer of rice, again later of paneer gravy, biristo, mint leaves and chopped coriander on it. Garnish it with some cashew nuts. Here's your biryani is ready to serve.
