This is Gujarati traditional savoury cake recipe

- 1/4 cup urad dhuli dal / split black lentil
- 1 cup curd
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon white sesame seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red pepper powder
- to taste Salt
- 2 teaspoon ginger, green chilli paste
- 2 tablespoons fresh coriander leaves
- 1 cup grated carrots
- 1 cup grated bottle guard
- 10 to 12 curry leaves
Steps to make to make Handwo
- Wash and soak rice and all lentils for 7 hours

- Then grind adding curd into a smooth batter


- Keep it covered to ferment for 8 hours

- Now add ginger green chilli paste and chopped coriander leaves


- Now add grated bottlegourd and carrots

- Add salt, turmeric powder and pepper powder,Mix well

- Now heat oil in a nonstick pan and crackle sesame seeds, mustard seeds and curry leaves


- Pour the batter mixture in pan and cover with a lid and keep on low flame for 15 minutes


- When cooked flip ot and let itt cook from other side too on low flame for 10 minutes

- Then turn off the flame and cut into pieces and serve with chutneys
